RE at St. Mary's

Religious Education is a crucial part of life at St. Mary's. We believe that good RE teaching gives our pupils a solid understanding of scripture and Christian values whilst also providing them with opportunities to respond and reflect on a deep and personal level.

In Key Stage 1, we follow Lighting the Path, a new scheme developed by Oxford University Press. This again is taught on a 2-year cycle with all of Key Stage 1 currently studying the Year 1 programme which is adapted to the needs of the classes.
